We stayed in the Best Western Patong Beach for the holiday package I won in the ‘Drive to BHP for a Holiday’ contest.
This mid rise 3-star hotel is conveniently located in the vicinity of Phuket’s well-known attractions. Patong Beach is about 10 minutes walk passing through the famed Bangla Road. Jungceylon Shopping Centre and Banzaan Fresh Market are just down the road. Plenty of massage centres and spas, restaurants, shopping areas and nightlife are within walking distance from the hotel.

The open air reception is spacious with ample seating for guests. As we arrived early, we were unable to check in. The hotel is quite strict when it comes to check-in time. There are computer stations and printer near the reception for guests’ use.

We stayed in Superior Double Room. The room is big with a modern, clean and neutral colour design. Each room comes with flat screen TV, minibar and wardrobe. But the TV has a limited number of international channels and the reception was of poor quality.

The bed and pillows are comfortable for a good night’s sleep. However the sound proofing could be better.

The bathroom is quite spacious but it doesn’t come with the usual toiletries one expects to find in a hotel. So make sure to bring your own toiletries. On the plus side, I loved the rainforest shower with pretty good water pressure.

Each room has a balcony with city view. Unfortunately our room is located on a low floor, hence our balcony did not offer much of a view except that of the building across the road.

Breakfast is served in the hotel’s only restaurant, Mana Restaurant. The breakfast spread was rather limited though there is local and Western fare. Similar varieties of food was served during our 2 days.

The rooftop outdoor infinity pool is a great place to kick-back and relax or go for a cool dip without needing to head to the beach. The small fitness centre is also a good alternative for health conscious guests.

Best Western Patong Beach is a good option for an affordable and conveniently located hotel in Patong, Phuket.
