It is that time of the year again. 2017 is coming to an end and there is an air of festivity, merry making and Christmas celebration. Since the end of last month, shopping malls are all decked up for the holiday seasons adding to the festive mood.
Atria Shopping Gallery gets into the festive spirit with its Ice-cellent Christmas. Shoppers are greeted with igloo, polar bear, wooden reindeers and snowman at the Centre Court.
The decorations are contained in a small area and were set up on a limited budget. The photos appear nicer than the actual set-up! However, the mall has organised a series of activities and events planned throughout the month – from musical performances to workshops for kids, snowfall in the mall to appearances of Santa Claus and snowmen.
1-Utama Shopping Centre’s centre court is turned into a white winter wonderland with strategically arranged Christmas trees creating passages for patrons to lose themselves in this magical place.
Kiosks covered with simmering fluffy clouds are set all around attracting patrons shopping for gifts for their loved families and friends. What is a better way to remind them of this than the giant gift boxes on top of the kiosks!
Patrons also couldn’t resist posing with the friendly looking giant snowmen. With big smiles on their faces, these snowmen definitely bring A Joyous Christmas to all.
With a theme of Train Ride to Christmasville, Paradigm Mall transforms its Upper Atrium into a little town called Christmasville. The setting is in the town main square with hanging ornaments, the town hall, clock tower, train station interspersed with giant Christmas trees and retail kiosks.
Kids couldn’t resist cuddling up to the adorable giant plush toys and teddy bears near the town hall and the Santa workshop. Kids can dress up in their favourite Christmas characters for free or go for a ride in the Paradigm Express for RM5 each.
For the young and the young at heart, a series of activities are lined-up such as the games booth, art and craft workshops, Santa and Santarina Meet & Greet, Christmas performances. They also have the Be A Secret Santa Charity Programme for children from a few homes for underprivileged children such as Rumah Ozanam, Agathian Shelters and TCC Home.
Celebrate an UnBULLievable Christmas at Quill City Mall KL this year. In partnership with 20th Century Fox, Quill City Mall brings the animated movie Ferdinand to life by turning the mall into an Andalusia village in Spain.
The quaint picturesque village is decorated with fairy lights and lots of flowers – hanging from the top, on the balconies, on the walls of the building and the lamp posts.
The impressive gigantic LED screen display at the top also caught my attention with information of the happenings and promotions throughout the mall this festive season. A game stall is also set up with simple games to entertain the kids.
And finally the Christmas decorations in Pavilion KL………it is breathtaking as always. Dasher and Dancer, the two 3.65m tall reindeers welcome visitors at the main entrance.
Inspired by the magical hot air balloon, visitors will be able to feel that Christmas Is In The Air in the main foyer area. Standing at the Spanish Steps, one will definitely be mesmerized by the beautiful sight of giant Christmas trees decked out in lights and colourful baubles while gold and red balloons float and bob in the air.
The photo booth is popular with shoppers for a chance to take pictures with Santa and the mini trampolines are a magnet with the kids. This year, fun game booths are set up for shoppers to win exclusive goodies.
Shoppers can choose from an array of festive merchandise from mini Christmas trees, decorative dolls, variety of baubles and ornaments to decorate their homes this Christmas.
