Echo Point Motor Inn

For our short trip to the Blue Mountains, we stayed in Echo Point Motor Inn.  It is located about 200 metres from Echo Point Lookout and the famous Three Sisters.  That was the main reason for picking this motel so we wouldn’t have to worry about parking when going to the Three Sisters.

There is a public bus stop across the road from the motel that will take you to and from Katoomba town centre.  Walking will take approximately 30 minutes.

The motel consists of a main building housing the reception and two blocks of single storey buildings.  The motel has rooms catering to single traveller as well as families.  There is ample on-site parking for guests.

Check-in and check-out was a breeze.  The staff at the front desk also happily provided great information of the region, attractions to visit as well as dining options.

Booked a one night stay in the Classic Queen Room for AUD 83.  Located in the main building, the room is basic and a little dated but has all the amenities for a comfortable stay.  The room comes with a queen sized bed, a lounge and a small dining table.

There is a heater in the room for the cold nights and fan for the warmer days.  All rooms are also equipped with tea & coffee making facilities, refrigerator and microwave.  The bathroom is small with a standing shower cubicle.  It looks like it has recently been renovated.

WiFi is complimentary and coin operated laundry facility is also provided for guests.  We didn’t try the breakfast as our booking was only for room only.

I would definitely recommend a stay in Echo Point Motor Inn if you plan to visit The Three Sisters a couple of times and do some walking trails in the area.
