ibis Styles Yogyakarta

Chose this hotel for our trip to Yogyakarta as it had good reviews and it’s located not too far from Malioboro Street, the hub of the city.  Booked this hotel during the Accor sales and paid IDR 1,365,606 for a 3 nights stay in a Superior Double Room.

The first thing that impressed me was the cool and vibrant hotel lobby.  The colourful and contemporary furniture were so inviting that I just felt like chilling out here.  The whole atmosphere made me feel so welcome.  The staff were friendly and efficiently checked me in.

The colourful theme extends to the entire hotel including the restaurant café as well as the room we stayed in.  A cheery room with walls painted in different colours greeted us.

The bed was comfortable with adequate sound proofing for a good night’s rest after a day out sightseeing.  There was a full length see through window to the bathroom but there was a blind to cover it.  The bathroom is split into the toilet and the shower stall.

The room was spacious, minimalist but functional.  There was a minibar with tea/coffee making facilities and a mini safe.  There was no wardrobe but an open space to hang clothes next to the luggage rack.

WiFi is complimentary throughout the hotel with pretty good internet speed.  Breakfast was also included in the room rate.  The hotel also has a spa with reasonably priced massage services.  The hotel’s pool is located on the roof top next to the Sky Bar.  Swimmers can get a good view of Yogyakarta from the infinity pool.

All in all I have enjoyed my stay in ibis Styles Yogyakarta.
