Nagoya Ekimae Montblanc Hotel

It was my second trip to Nagoya and I booked this hotel as it is located close to the Nagoya station.  It’s also easy to get to and from the airport on the Meitetsu Line.  This 3-star hotel is only about 5 minutes walk from the station.

To get to the hotel from the Meitetsu Nagoya station, use Exit 12.  Walk past Nagoya JR station and Takashimaya Departmental store.  Cross the road via the zebra crossing.  Then turn left and walk for about 20m and the hotel is on the right.

There are many eateries, shops and convenience stores near the hotel.  Or one can just hop into Nagoya station for more shopping and dining options.

Check-in and check-out was a breeze and staff at the front counter speak adequate English.

Typical of Japanese business standard hotel, room size is minimally adequate and comes with the usual amenities found in a Japanese hotel.

Room was clean and housekeeping was good throughout our stay.  The semi-double bed was quite ‘spacious’ and was comfortable.  The best thing is the room is free from stale cigarette smoke smell :).

Though TV in the room has many channels, they are all in Japanese!

WiFi is available throughout the hotel though the speed was inconsistent – we never saw speeds exceeding 1 Mbps and it is usually around 512 Kbps.  There are two computer terminals in the lobby for guests as well.
